Yep we will be traveling out with Derek and the crew to run the last chance qualifier for the King of the Hammers race.  Brandon has been working diligently on his new buggy and we should be ready to show those desert boys how we do it here in the midwest.  The rig looks great and it will be a blast to run that fast through the desert and over the rocks of the Hammers trails.  If you listen real close you will most likely hear me screaming from out there telling Brandon to go faster.  DOubt that more like slow down so I can clean out my seat.  Will post up links later where you can follow live tracking of us while we race.

if you decide to stay out in southern california for a bit longer make the trek down to superstition mountain, ocotillo wells, the on the way out of cali stop at gordons wells and glamis. you can make one big loop out of it if you plan accordingly.

we would set up camp at superstition (riding quads and dirtbikes) and head out to gordons, back to O'wells and stop at glamis for saturday night insanity. then haul ass back sunday morning to pack up camp. you can do the same in a jeep, buggy, crawler, cherokee on 33's. if you guys need any help i have a group of friends that are heading up to spectate but are more than willing to help if you need parts runners or some people familiar with the area.

I was stationed out ther myself back in 88-92 and we had a blast playing around out there.  Wish I knew then what I know now and I would be the host of the King of the Hammers.  I am sure that we will get tons of pics but we are concentrating on winning the lcq and trying to place in the top 10 of the KIng of the Hammers race.  The rig is now in final welding and painting and we should be ready to piece it all back together by mid week of next week.  Its going to be fun to run that fast for that long and then treverse the insane gourges of the Hamers trails.  Here's a video from in cab last year of a racer in the desert section.
