i am a 27 year old jeep nut and i just got back from afghanistan and my present to myself was a jeep. i have a 97 tj with 4.0 pretty much stock for now. has a slight lift and a K&N air filter installed. really wanting to come out but was wondering if i need to upgrade a lot more or if i could handle some of the #1 or #2 trails.

Welcome to the forum! Stock jeepers have a great time here at smorr. There is still a full weekend worth of trails for the stock rig ranging from scenic ridgeline trails to  the mud  and creekbeds. See you soon. -tg-

The front will work alright. Keep the rear tow attatchments first on the build list so you could start doing recoveries for your crew. ;D
